Every photograph begins with listening.
Giulia Maffioli, also known as Giulia Hepburn, is a London-based photographer and director working across fashion, portraiture, fragrance, and brand campaigns, in stills and motion.
Her visual world is maximalist and nostalgic, drawn to colour, grain, and the dramatic charge of a moment that feels like it's already becoming a memory. She is particularly at home with brands that have a strong aesthetic identity: alternative, vintage-inflected, or rooted in feeling rather than formula.
At the core of her practice is a genuine belief that the best images come from trust. She draws on art, cinema, and music to build a visual language before the shoot begins and brings the kind of energy on set that makes people forget they're working.
People who have worked with her tend to say the same thing: they felt comfortable, heard, and free to be themselves. That ease shows in the work.
With over a decade of experience, her clients include Playful Promises, Wolf & Whistle x ASOS, Collectif, and fragrance houses Sainte Cellier and Cursed.
Her work has been published in PhotoVogue and Glamour Italy, exhibited internationally, and featured in Terrific Fashion by Rizzoli. In 2025, Hypebae named her among the “Cool & Queer Photographers to Follow”.
Alongside digital work, she regularly shoots on film, a practice that slows the process down and sharpens the intention behind every frame.
Based in London, she is open to collaborations in the UK and internationally.
