Long Live The Kings!
Long Live the Kings, was born with the aim of raising awareness about the drag king community. I wanted to capture the essence of these performers both in drag and out of drag, to highlight that, as humans, we are multifaceted, constantly evolving, and capable of expressing various aspects of our identities. Through these portraits, I aim to celebrate the artistry, resilience, and individuality of drag kings, while also challenging societal norms around gender expression and performance. This project is a visual exploration of transformation, self-expression, and the fluidity of identity, revealing that we are all, in some way, shapeshifters navigating the complexities of our own experiences.
